Coffee Club at Berkeley (CCB) is the inaugural coffee club that aims to promote awareness of the elaborate story behind every sip of coffee we have. Within CCB, members pay close attention to a coffee’s distinct qualities (e.g., aroma, sweetness, body, acidity, etc.) and how these unique sensory elements come together to shape our personal preferences. We will be hosting events such as coffee cupping or trips to local roasters to improve our palate and develop the language to describe the subtle nuances of different coffees alongside coffee professionals. CCB members will also learn to fine-tune and troubleshoot a coffee’s flavor by experimenting with the many factors that can affect the taste of coffee. Our biweekly workshops will provide opportunities for practice on bean selection, grind size, and different brewing methods to help members gain better control over their coffee.
Our Mission: CCB shares experiences and knowledge to help the Berkeley community better appreciate a nice cup of coffee. It is our mission to create a fun, learning environment for all coffee lovers to experience coffee to the fullest. |
